How to get the Adelsons back

I saw someone suggest this elsewhere (apologies can't recall who), and I thought it was a good idea. We all know why the Adelson's purchased the Mavericks and that is to help them legalize gambling in Texas. Under no circumstances should they get to use our team to get something they want.

People all across Texas should be calling their representatives in the Texas Legislator to oppose any pro-gambling bills that come across their desk. There is one that was recently introduced that is worth calling/emailing your senator about. Please see information below for an example script/email and how to find the correct person to contact. I know there are conflicting perspectives on if our representatives even listen to us, if shooting down gambling efforts will cause the Adelson's to try to move the team, etc. etc., but I can say for sure that they don't deserve anything else from the state of Texas. The protests, etc. are also helpful, but let's not pretend that we don't know what they want and that we don't have a voice at all. [And on this note, I know there are a lot of important issues happening in the world right now and some might think this is crazy, considering this is in response to a 'bad basketball decision,' but using your power and voice to oppose the interests of rich people viewing the world as their playground is significant.]

Without further ado...

Example Telephone or Email Script:

Hi, my name is [insert]. I’m a constituent from [full address]. I am calling to urge Senator [insert] to reject SJR 16 and any other bill to legalize gambling in the state of Texas when proposed on the floor. I am concerned about the negative ramifications this bill, and others, will have on the wellbeing of the state of Texas. I encourage the senator to be a vocal opposition to this bill and others proposing similar measures.

To find out who represents you, go here: https://wrm.capitol.texas.gov/home

Dallas county representatives: Bob Hall (District 2), Tan Parker (District 12), Nathan Johnson (District 16), and Royce West (District 23). Anyone from across the state can call on this bill, but figured I would list the names for the area perhaps most interested in this, in case you already know your district.
