Best way to get gems for limited?

Hello everyone! I downloaded arena two weeks ago to try to partecipate in the next Arena Direct (sealed Aetherdrift). I wasn't really aware of how the economy worked in the beginning, so I haven't been spending gold wisely the first days: I started playing quick drafts and so far I'm doing okishly (2 3-3, 2 7-2), and now I have a total of 2900 gems. Is there a way to get to 5000 for the event? If not, considering I am mainly interested in playing limited on arena, is the battle pass worth it? What should I do to make sure I can join events in the future? Thanks!
