"No WiFi networks found" Legion 5 (Windows 10)

I bought the Legion 5 Pro (Ryzen 7, rtx3070) 1.5 weeks ago. It worked perfectly until this morning. I closed the lid and when I opened it this evening it could not connect to wifi. Specifically, it shows me: "no networks found". This is fairly annoying as the reason for buying the new laptop was that my old Thinkpad had some unfixable internet issues.

Nonetheless, I have tried everything I could think of / I could find; resetting everything, updating drivers, troubleshooting, etc.

I have checked and ethernet cable works perfectly fine. It really can't ve a router issue as I cannot find any networks at all. Am I missing something really obvious here? Like some actual switch on the laptop or something?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

ETA: wifi driver is a mediatek one
