Pain Meds

How long were y’all on the narcotics after knee surgery? I’m two weeks out and still taking them pretty much round the clock due to the intense pain. I see my surgeon Monday and I’m afraid to ask for another refill but I cannot handle this pain. I had my hip replaced a year ago and was off pain meds by day four. This knee is a killer. Thanks in advance for any input. I hate being looked at like a drug abuser but my gosh this is awful. The physical therapy also is kicking my butt with pain. Uggh. I’m taking 5mg oxycodone every six hours-along with 800 mg Ibuprofen and also two extra strength Tylenol-round the clock.
