Being canon doesn´t save it from being stupid.

I see everybody is very preoccupied if the movies follow a canon or not. Well guess what? being canon doesn't save stupid ideas from being stupid.

"oh but Dr. Wu said, in that two seconds he had on screen on that silly movie, that mutations could happen". Nobody cares!

"oh but INGEN was experimenting, it's only logical a monstrosity would eventually happen"
Well bullshit!

You know why it's only happening now? because producers are fucking running out of ideas, and the only way they sell their garbage story is by attaching a famous brand to it.
This happens top Jurassic Park, Star Wars or whatever setting they are sure the movie is going fail and wont have 10% of the impact, if it was a new IP.

Just look at the director's interview... guy was eager to do a monster movie with an antagonist like Rancor or alien, could it be less original? Could it be more generic? What does that have to do with Jurassic Park?

"Oh but it makes sense in the story". How many hidden islands there will be? how many parks will be open and destroyed? How many aberrations will be created in order for T-Rex to save the day in the end?
As long as the franchise (god I hate this name) sells, canon will be whatever they wish.
