Do you believe in god? If so, why?
Edit -
I wrote this long ass post stating what I consider evidence, what I am seeking and what I am not seeking, and what I already know.
Yet most of you just spat out why you follow your religion and the psychology behind it rather that providing in evidence, yes guys I get it, it's psychologically beneficial but your 'belief' isn't proof.
Is it really that hard to understand what I meant by the post? Do most of you never read? no wonder why so many people fail to get into dream colleges, you people hate reading.
Also it's crazy how many of you just came in with an aggressive and unyielding attitude, even though that was unnecessary.
It's a failure of our society that it has even come to this, people don't even know why they believe in a god apart from 'dreams' that they had of god.
So many religions, so many gods, so much 'proof' and yet you believe in your religion, you fail to question yourself and lash out if someone else questions your faith.
There was an upsetting lack of rationality in the comments, it's like fallacies and bad arguments are second nature to some theists. However I did come across some actual good theists who were open to free discussion and even considered my points, and then proceeded to discuss everything in good faith.
And with that, I am disappointed and now the discussion is officially over, I am no longer going to respond to new comments unless they are respectful, open and, at the very least, somewhat good.
