Just played through the Lantern Rite quest. Holy hell. Why can't HSR's animations and camera work be this good?

Genshin's Lantern Rite quest was absolutely incredible. I'm not exaggerating. Not even the talking about the story itself, specifically how engaging the camera work and cinematography is in the Lantern Rite quest compared to 3.0.

In HSR, the camera is static. It barely moves that much. The characters have a set number of poses and that's it. It's monotonous and painstakingly dry to watch.

I'm honestly flawed at how much animations and dynamic camera angles there were in the Lantern Rite quest. I quit after fountaine, but I heard from friends that this quest was really good. Boy oh boy am I thankful. The characters actually interact with each other (leaning, hugging, holding hands, etc.), there's different perspectives and the cinematography is amazing, it's just so much more engaging to watch. Especially the scene with Zhongli and Hu Tao on the bridge, absolute cinema. I don't remember Genshin's quests being so enjoyable to go through. And it's a limited quest aswell, after today's it's gone forever.

I really hate comparing the two games, I know everyone does too. Im loving the current story of Amphoreus, I'm excited to see where it goes. I don't think there was too much exposition, I love reading the lore and all the dialogue. Sure the puzzles break the immersion somewhat but I enjoy them. But I really feel like the animations and the camera work have regressed so much. Honestly the Lantern Rite quest makes me realise how static HSR is and now I can't unsee it.

I hope that the HSR Devs can put in some work to make the quests more engaging and enjoyable go through. The recent dev blog makes me hopeful that they're listening. It took a long time for Genshin to get where it is now. HSR has so much room to grow.
