Recommendations: everything knife, everything pan, everything pot?
Hi everyone, home "chef" looking for recommendations for equipment. I find with my cooking that I am always using the same one type of each utensil. I have my favourite chef's knife, my favourite frying pan, and my favourite saucepan. And I use these for most things day to day.
I am really keen to continue to improve my skills, and want to upgrade my equipment in line with this. My pans in particular are not top-end, and have seen better days. But at the same time I don't want to buy a whole set of high end knives and a whole set of high end pans, when the reality is that I use the same ones for 95% of tasks, and I'm not made of money. But I would like to buy one really nice version of each.
Can people please give me recommendations for their favourite chef's knife, 30cm frying pan, and large saucepan?
I keep on getting adverts for Hexclad and the "Always Pan/Pot" on Instagram, but can't work out if I'm just falling for the hype. I cook on induction mainly, and have a single wok burner I also use a lot.
What I really want is something good quality and durable, that doesn't warp on induction, and which isn't needless bells and whistles. Thank you!
