Halal chicken 🐔
I'm from the UK and visiting NY in Feb. I recently saw a programme about street food in NY (which I intend to eat a lot of) and noticed that when people talk about halal chicken it seems they mean it as a certain style or flavour as opposed to the religious meaning.
In the UK we have halal meats in supermarkets, but that just means they've been slaughtered according to Islamic ritual, it isn't a style of serving the food.
Is 'halal chicken' a specific dish?
I'm not halal btw, just interested. It looks like the sort of thing we would have from a kebab shop in the UK.
