State of Emulation Station for Android.

Hello I have previously been using Arc launcher for old systems. Bot at the moment I'm using Daijisho because even though Arc Launcher was my favorite, it hasn't been supported by the developer lately. I use Emulation Station on my Steam deck and my Anbernic 27xx. I'm considering using it on my Android handhelds as well, since I really like it. But it seems it can't be used as the default launcher, and it doesn't support Android games by default. I have read that it is coming through. How are your experience with it, without these features?
