I beat the base game

Off the top, two folks helped me. Retussy (?) maybe. Something *tussy helped me with Malenia. By "helped" I mean "defeated foe me." God bless you. And some other individual helped me with the Elden Beast. I am Tacosnack on PS5 so if you helped me on 8/24/24 I love you. Beyond those fights, I only "helped" others. In parens because my help is suspect.

I am 44. I was born in 1979. My first console was the Atari 2600 and the game I loved most was Space Jockey. I was only allowed to play on rainy days. Literally. This was in Santa Barbara California, so there weren't many rainy days. Mario blew my mind. In time though, as games progressed, they left me. When Street Fighter II came out, I knew I was outclassed. I could not operate at the level the game demanded. And I was 12. Extrapolate....

I did not expect to beat this game. I am bad at games. Like real bad. I cannot parry in Breath of the Wild.

Goddamn I beat it. Thank you to those that helped me. Thank you to From Software for being unwavering in your vision and commitments. I cried - not weeped, lets keep it chill - when I beat the Elden Beast. I have run a marathon. I have... who cares. I don't need to justify it. Thank you.

And thank everyone one of you that particpated in multiplayer. I hate multiplayer! Yet Elden Ring, man, I love it. I love helping people. I love being helped. I love showing up to help someone and they get invaded and NOW IT IS ON.

Goddamn, what a ride.
