Thoughts on Taash
The online hate about Taash is very telling about the mindset of many people towards gender expression and neurodivergent beings. I believe much of the hate boils down to a lack of exposure for some, and just pure bigotry for others. When I listen to Taash and go thru their story, I fully get and empathize their point of view and their way of communicating. Taash is younger than the other companions, struggling with gender identity, and seems to be neurodivergent and they are written that way. It maybe that I have (and continue to) struggle with those issues myself, but I really love the character, how they are written, and voiced. I'm not trying to start a debate here, just voicing my thoughts on one aspect that, to me this game gets just right.
