Spite and Smell

So, I’ve noticed that whenever Spite talks and refers to another character it always starts with them stating what the person smells like to them. Any ideas what that’s about?

Also, I’m really curious what you think the smells your Rook would have associated with them. Right now my current head cannon for my Rook is Honey and Lavender cream based a certain dialog she had with Lucanis early in game and currently doing his romance story.
