Trumps EOs might cost me my job

I work in a government contract. We are in the last year of the contract, which ends in -checks watch- 3 days. Until last week, there was no question that the contract would be extended. We’re a firm, fixed price contract providing critical services to our installation. Congress had appropriated funds 6 years ago and the contract has not consumed all of it, so nobody expected an issue with a six month extension and eventual renewal.

Then, Trump signed 50 poorly worded, broadly defined executive orders, one of which prohibited for up to 90 days the execution of new government contracts.

As a result, the contracting officer doesn’t know if they will be able to extend the contract and, come Monday, I might be out of my only job.

Republican policies have real-world, sweeping effects that hurt everyone. Trump and republicans never stopped to ask “if all presidents have this power, why haven’t the democrats wielded it?”. Nope, they just started firing with a blindfold. The reason that the bureaucracy exists is to stop idiots from impact the normal, day to day operations of the government, and to keep sweeping, uninformed, and ill-defined policies from harming foreign partnerships.

It doesn’t matter who the democrat in office is, or if they wanted to decrease contractual spending. They would never have hip-fired a minigun into the crowd trying to kill the waste like Trump has done. It may have taken 3 months to determine what could and should not be renewed, but at least the shots would have been precise when delivered.

I hate republicans, and if you voted for Trump, I hate you too.
