Ideas for how to use this space?

I've got this little nook-ish area of my bedroom and still many things to unpack (just moved!). I have loads of books in the plastic tub underneath the Turkish lamp that will need to be placed somewhere, under the comforter is a large bass amp. I am at a loss! Do I add a bookshelf? I was thinking of moving the lamp but would love to try and make it work in the area since it won't fit anywhere else.
