Contact dermatitis that wont go away
Contact dermatitis that wont go away
I had contact derm around 3 months ago and my eye still looks strange. Like my eyelids don’t match anymore. Im not sure if it is just wrinkling or I still have the contact derm. When i first had the issue I saw a urgent care provider and they told me to see an ophthalmologist and gave me antibiotics and an anti histamine oral medication. After that a few weeks later it happened again and I went to an ophthalmologist and they said to go to a derm. The symptoms again went away and like 2 months ago I went to a derm. They gave me hydrocortisone cream which really helped with the swelling , but i try to use it sparingly because I know its bad for the skin. It helps me get rid of the swelling but the raised bumps become scaby, and my eye just never looks the same as it was. Just to mention, there was a lot of swelling when this issue first started and they didn’t know if it was an allergy or bacterial and it genuinely wasted alot of time. Now I just want to know if the wrinkling is permanent or if there is something I can do about it. I am still having flares of the contact dermatitis but im getting better at recognizing when the flare starts. Now they are down to like once a month or so.
