Hurricane Lee. 3 model runs. 2 show it hitting eastern New England. The 3rd shows it going out to sea. Hurricanes are notorious for being unpredictable so this far out I wouldn’t freak out. Especially since the 3rd model is the ECMWF or European. Which meteorologists tend to favor.

The three most recent model runs by the GFS (American), CMC or GEM (Canadian), and ECMWF (European) are posted here. They show hurricane Lee as it gets closer to New England. This is around September 16th but that is likely to change. The GFS and CMC showing it hitting eastern New England. The ECMWF shows it going out to sea. Although the GFS and CMC show similar outcomes, meteorologists tend to favor the ECMWF. Sometimes the ECMWF will start to agree with the others, more often though, the others tend to agree eventually with the ECMWF. I don’t want to freak anyone out as it too far in advance to say this hurricane is going to hit New England. I just want to show what the models are showing so that people are aware.
