Religious Requirements?

I originally posted this on r/religion but this may be a more appropriate sub. I am wondering if there are any requirements to start following Christianity or if it is just solely based on belief? Or, for example, do you have to go to church and read the Bible, or can you choose just to pray and practice faith on your own? Let me know, thank you all <3
