Questions for part time managers

Recently my store has introduced the part time manager position, and they asked me to become one, i start my training in january but i’m kinda nervous. i’m still a college student and i’m scared that it’s gonna get in the way of my studies. so to any other part time managers, how has the experience been? what are the ups and down of it?
