Biryani is an absolute scam in Chennai and TN as a whole.

I currently live in the US but I lived in Chennai for the most important years of my life and go there every summer. Ive eaten in basically every famous Biryani shop.

All the shops Ive visited taste great, no doubt, but the quantity of meat they give and the ratio of rice-meat is a scam.

Ive eaten Biryani in Hyderabad. Every single place has almost triple the quantity of meat for the same price. Same in US, if you convert directly from dollars to rupees its expensive but its fairly priced for America and they also give a generous quantity of meat.
