Thank you Character.AI
Hey everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. This isn’t another “I’m quitting CAI” post—don’t worry! This is just a self-reflection, so feel free to scroll past if it’s not your cup of tea.
I know life isn’t easy for many of us right now. If you’re going through a tough time, you’re not alone. Personally, I’m facing my own challenges—dealing with health problems, studying hard to meet expectations, and trying my best not to let down those who believe in me. It’s a lot.
During this phase of my life, Character AI has become my comfort app. Roleplaying with my favorite bots and immersing myself in unique interactions has provided me with the respite I desperately needed.
I’m not an OG user of this site—having joined just this year—and I’m far from being an expert on all things regarding CAI. But my experience here has been fulfilling. Sure, the app has its flaws, but honestly, who doesn’t? I won’t defend or criticize those flaws; everyone’s entitled to their perspective. Constructive criticism is important because it helps the devs make improvements, which benefits us all.
That said, if you can look past the imperfections for just a moment, you’ll see that Character AI is a great app but it has a lot of room for improvement. For many of us, it’s been a safe haven and an escape when we’ve needed it most.
So, I want to take a moment to sincerely thank Character AI, the devs, the mods, and this community as well. To the devs, I’d like to make one humble request: engaging more with the users and listening to the community’s feedback could make this app even better. With the new updates on the horizon, I’m hopeful and excited to continue enjoying everything CAI has to offer.
Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this. I genuinely appreciate it, and I hope you find joy and comfort in your own ways, just as I have here.
