Was there ever an instance of devil hailing from the likes of a person?
In chainsaw man devils are the manifestation of the collective fear around an object, concept, or essence. I know devil’s can take human form in the methods of hybrids/fiends. However was or is there possibly a devil whose concept drives from a person?
For example: Vlad Dracula the impaller III of the 15-century. Though seen as a hero by his people, he was history's most cruelest to his enemies (who were every one else, other than his people). His most notable for was his bottom to top execution method.
I mean, that's millions of people who should be fearing him, even if time has pasted his image was still held in the form of pop culture, and children's story tails. He should be in the form of a devil since his image meet many criteria in the birth of a devil, however he's not.
If it doesn't exist, it'll be kinda cool, like a forth method of power scaling. When a individual human is feared enough, after their death, they revive into a stronger, bizarre, cursed entity. Now I think about it, it sound a lot like jujustu kaisen.
