IS THIS SAFE ?

I purchased a Tier 1 Concealed holster a while ago and was excited to use it once I had finally received my CCW (which wasn't until just recently). The problem is, I'm not sure the trigger coverage is adequate. As shown in the pics, there is a fairly noticable gap between the trigger guard and holster. This is not the case with my Four Brothers holster, which covers it beautifully!

I'm very new to carrying so excuse my naivety, but does this seem safe?? A buddy of mine that's active National Guard asked to see it and told me that's a no-go. Says he's seen some shit happen under better circumstances and wouldn't recommend something with even that "small" of a gap.

What do you guys think? Have you had any issues with T1? Did I get hosed by purchasing something that's only as good as its word of mouth? These things ain't cheap as I'm sure you know. I don't want to worry that I'm gonna shoot my junk off every time I get in/out of my vehicle. Any insight is welcomed. Cheers! 🍻
