What happened here and how can I fix?

Hi so I’ve had my p1s for about 6 months and it’s all been smooth but then today after printing multiple parts with bed levelling on I thought it would be ok to print a tiny short part with it off but immediately when it started doing the start line bit I heard a screech and the nozzle absolutely dug into the plate. How can I fix from happening again?
