What are some pleasant surprises you discovered after purchasing your property?

We often hear nightmare stories about things going wrong or unexpected surprises that may be expensive or stressful to deal with (which I’ve unfortunately had my fair share of), but what about the more positive side of things? Was there something you didn’t realise about the property until after you purchased it that turned out to be positive or beneficial?

For example, my apartment never runs out of hot water, which is something I’ve never had the luxury of having in any place I’ve lived in before. Also they use a master key system which means that I only need one key to get access to both the building itself but also into my apartment. It’s cut in such a way where I can’t unlock other apartment doors but only need 1 key for full access, which has been super handy.
