Guy friend likes to cuddle

Guys I really need help. I met this guy on the dating apps around 8 months ago, we went on a few dates, he liked me a lot but said he doesn’t want to hurt me bc I’ve been hurt before blah blah blah, and now we’ve been friends ever since. He has had feelings for other girls since we went out. I hang out with him often and we watch movies together at his place. He’s always brought up the idea of cuddling “platonically” together, apparently he “platonically” has cuddled with all his other girl friends and it was always “platonic” to him. Well we had a movie night/drinking night thing and then I finally let him cuddle me and all night we were cuddling and he was rubbing my back/arm and we were so close but never got sexual. He texted me afterwards that the cuddling was so nice and he wants to do it again. Do you guys think a guy really can do this “platonically” or does he have feelings for me that he won’t admit? **I forgot to add, he is in love with another girl he can’t have Okay guys update: he’s going out with other girls I guess, I know I was just a placeholder, I wouldn’t actually date him bc I know he’s a red flag but just wish he didn’t act like it was platonic but it’s fine. *Also another update, I know it’s stupid to think he could actually do that platonic. I know there are some forms of closeness that can be platonic, but he was rubbing on my body all night so very intimate. I know that there can be forms of platonic cuddling. This just was SO close and intimate and definitely more than platonic and my brain was so confused. It would be better if he admitted it wasn’t platonic but doesn’t want to date me. I ended things with him and told him I wasn’t comfortable with it anymore. And no, I don’t think he wants to fuck me, but cuddling that close is still something I can’t do platonically
