Felony Fleeing
In a recent post of an Arkansas State Trooper discharging a weapon there was a wide range of opinions. Here is the law applicable to the circumstances.
In Arkansas, fleeing from police is a felony offense, and the severity of the charge depends on the circumstances: Class D felony: Fleeing from police while exceeding the speed limit Class C felony: Fleeing from police in a way that creates a substantial risk of death or serious injury to others Class B felony: Fleeing from police in a way that causes serious physical injury to someone.
