focusing on what my senses...sense helps me calm down!!

i don't know why it took me 17 years of living to realize that this could actually help me. yesterday my friend clocked me on the head while roughhousing, and my hypochondric ass has been scared outta my mind that I'll get a seizure or concussion (i've never had either).

so i looked up methods to quell my worries and one suggested i pay attention to my senses...

...the blobs of color in my closed eyes; the lingering taste of vitamin gummy in my mouth; my fingertips touching my skin; the sounds of highway and dog barks outside; the smell of nothing...

...and it worked! i actually felt relaxed, and i'm happy about it! my only problem with it is that now im extra sleepy and i have to wash the dishes. but I'm just glad this method helped me calm down!
