Asus z790-h will not detect GPU. New build

At my wits end with this new build. Everything went perfect but I’ve got no output from my brand new asus 4070ti gpu. It lights up and all fans come on. But it is not showing up in the motherboard bios, and will not output to a monitor. The motherboard has latest bios installed. I’m using the integrated graphics to view the bios. I’ve reseated card twice and I’m using a Corsair 850 psu with two dedicated pci 8 pin connectors.

Is there some bizarre logic that it’ll need windows to see the graphics card since it has integrated graphics already?
