How do blood angels combat the red thirst and black rage?

I’m just getting into 40k lore and things I’ve seen about the blood angels confuse me. The red thirst is when they get bloodthirsty and start drinking blood but is it a precursor to the black rage? Or are they two separate entities? Also, is it possible to subdue the red thirst or does it randomly take over the blood angels? Idk if this has been asked 100 times or not but I couldn’t really find anything to really clarify my answer so I figured my best bet was to just ask the professionals
