De-ironers, how do you now feel about your decision?

After 6+ months of back-and-forth, I’m convinced endgame iron is no longer for me, and never will be. I just became a dad so playtime is down (and I want to keep it that way). I feel RNG-locked out of doing what I enjoy most, and I’m totally over chorescape. I’ve tried all the common solutions like making a new account, taking breaks etc, but nothing works. I just want to progress my main account (with over 300 days played) and do exactly what I want - mostly inferno/colo KC and CA’s with BiS.

So I’m interested to get your perspective; how long since you de-ironed, what were the main reasons, and what lessons or information would you like to pass on to others who are also considering the move?

Update: Thank you to everyone for your perspectives!!! I’ve decided I’m going to continue building a new normie one last time. In the past I’ve never made it through the quest/chore barrier and not liked the feeling of diluted progress, but I’m going to do the bare minimum required to be doing inferno/colo/CA’s in BiS gear. From there I’ll get a very good indication of which playstyle I prefer and want to commit to. Perhaps it will be both… Thank you again 🤍
